New hairstyle

I don't think I'll ever understand why my grade 3 teacher taugt us techniques on how to write japanese (kanji is it called?) but actually never taught how to read it. So here I am left clueless if the words I've written down says what I want them to say. Sigh.

Anyway it was Joe's birthday a few days ago (?) and tumblr has been filled nothing but with Joe. Since I drew this beforehand I thought I would join the party and add it the words (From left to right) "Happy Birthday Shimamura Jo!"

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
